“During Distribution Pit Liberation, the privately owned, abandoned construction site between Mckibben Street, Bogart Street, and Boerum Street will be contested as public space through moments of physical intervention and visual proclamation. Participants are invited to discover new access points to the presumed off-limits “vacant” site. Gestures of bright pink lines suggest possible paths while a variety of flags will demonstrate portions of the site as “liberated” for public use. Participants are encouraged to add their own flags while investigating the site with caution and curiosity. Explore at your own risk.” – Bushwick Open Studios Description
