USM-EscapeVines was an angular network of colorful lines that playfully follow the path of the fire escape as they mimic the ascendant vines growing up the rear facade of 2108 N. Calvert Street. The installation was executed in conjunction with the Axis Alley public art show. Participants who climbed the fire escape were welcomed with a close-up of the installation as well as arresting views of the Baltimore cityscape.

USM-EscapeVines disappeared when the building was razed in 2011.
