  • 31 years ago we left Galveston. These are the places I remember: our home at 39th & Q-1/2 now a field, the 39th St Jetty where my dad would go crabbing, the Seawall where my mom would take me on her bicycle, the Garden Verein Dancing Pavilion, Koala Kare, Moody Plaza Pavilion across from the library where I waved an American flag while a military band played.

  • Saturday I had the pleasure of experiencing my friend and #publicart collaborator Falon Mihalic’s @falonland incredible #landscapeart install as part of a performance of #JohnLutherAdams’s #Inuksuit in Houston. The sound, place, and participants generated a truly sublime moment. The event was organized by Sydney Boyd as part of @riceuniversity’s Spatial Humanities Initiative. Congrats to all! #soundart #experimentalmusic #falonlandstudio

  • Where it all began, 19 years later: This is the porch at #BlakeHighSchool where I learned to make outdoor sculpture. I never would have made it back had fellow artist, Blake alum & now Blake art teacher @emmaoliviachandler not spotted me at USFCAM. She was with two of my former art teachers, Ms. Galgani and Ms. Dressel. They invited me to deliver an impromptu artist talk for their seniors yesterday. Sharing my work was an honor and seeing a new generation of talented artists in the works was inspiring. Cheers Tampa! #artistlife
