We had to take a bit of rest after our third major

We had to take a bit of rest after our third major install this season: #UnityTracks. The “Unity Tracks” art crosswalks and traffic calming bumpout improve safety for street crossing pedestrians while beautifying the street and celebrating the community’s connection to the adjacent Govans Farmers Market. The artwork features bright colors suggested by the community, bird tracks that resonate with other public art in the neighborhood, and symbols invoking healthy food and local culture. This projects is part of Design for Distancing for Loyola York Road Initiative with funding secured by The City of Baltimore Development Corporation - BDC. Striping by Equus Striping. Last Sunday we celebrated the newly created Season

Last Sunday we celebrated the newly created Seasonal Turn art crosswalks at Whitelock and Brookfield in Reservoir Hill. We were excited to have @mayorbmscott, Councilman @jamestorrencejd, and the City Administrator join us. The Complete Streets legislation he co-sponsored and passed in City Council ensures that all future transportation projects balance the needs and safety of all people, especially pedestrians, wheelchair and bike riders, and transit users. That we can #MakePlaceHappen with traffic calming public art give me hope for Baltimore. Thank you to the Mayor, the #GrahamProjects install team, @reshillbmore, Kate Jennings, @bikemorebmore’s mobile bike shop, and all the residents who shared ideas and helped create the artwork during our community paint day.
